“The two main compliments we got regarding our wedding was for the venue and OJ’s Soul Band. The best compliment we heard for the band was from a close friend who said that she wouldn’t hesitate to pay to see the band if they were gigging! Music plays an important part in our lives and we knew we wanted a band at our wedding that were guaranteed to put on a show. We never saw OJ’s Soul Band before we hired them, we were impressed enough with the videos we watched online and the huge amount of positive testimonials they had! We cannot stress it enough, OJ’s Soul Band are more than just a wedding band! Each of the band members (we had eight of them - we just had to have the horn section to best showcase the soul and Motown hits!) were impeccable musicians but also brilliant entertainers. During certain hits, some members even got off the stage and mingled with the guests dancing, never missing a beat or playing/singing a note out of key (the vocalists were astounding!)! Honestly, some of the highlights of the band’s sets were having them get in a circle with our wedding guests to perform a rollicking and immersive version of Proud Mary (it was epic!) and the saxophonist dancing with the bride! They were really so professional! We asked them to come in earlier in the day to setup and soundcheck as we didn’t want our drinks reception to be disturbed. You would never have known they were there! Their set up and soundcheck (which probably lasted for about ten minutes) barely made an impact on the reception or guests, and you would never know they had a brief soundcheck when they were playing their sets! Their two sets (of 60 mins each!) were so entertaining! If you want a band to make a huge impact on your wedding day (or any event really), and create something that the guests won’t forget any time soon, hire OJ’s Soul Band! Immediately! Best decision we ever made…other than saying “I do”!”
